Friday, 12/18 (& Saturday, 12/19): Winter Farmer's Market
Check out the Winter Farmers’ Market on Friday and Saturday to stock up on a variety of locally-produced goods from over 130 Iowa vendors. This is your one-stop shop for produce, handmade gifts, and holiday products. From eggs, and holiday hams and honey to Pointsettias, Christmas trees, and ornaments, you're sure to find something special at this event.

Friday, 12/18: Field Division at Sidebar
Gather all your friends and head to Sidebar for a gelato and a show by Des Moines folkwave duo, Field Division. This event is Sidebar's last of the year, and is free and open to the public!

Friday, 12/18: Merry Market & Mistletoe-ke
Still need to pick up a few (or more than a few) gifts for Christmas? Check out the Des Moines Social Club's Merry Market for a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Stop by for a cocktail at Malo, then peruse 17 hand-selected vendors all waiting to send you off with the perfect gift. Then, hang out at Mistletoe-ke after you shop for a holiday-inspired karaoke night in the Basement.

Saturday, 12/19: World Food Prize Hall of Laureates Holiday Open House
If all this rain has you dangerously close to losing your holiday spirit, check out this event in hopes of saving it. Free and open to the community, the open house is a great opportunity to experience the Hall of Laureates. Holiday music will be playing with a live performance from Grace Church Ensemble, and guests are invited to tour an international photography exhibit.

Saturday, 12/19: Printmaking Party
Meet up with friends for a printmaking party at Moxie this Saturday. Guest printmaker Kinsey Goodman will back in town from London ready to create plenty of designs for you to choose from, and guests can enjoy snacks and drinks! Party-goers have two options for printing – purchase a shirt for $20 and get two designs screenprinted, or bring in your own apparel and get a printed design for $5. Items may include anything from an old t-shirt to a baby onesie.
