life of a party, new year's eve: the recap (part 4/4)

Happy 2016, guys! We hope your new year is off to a great start. Today we're rounding out our first Life of a Party series by bringing you a recap of our New Year's Eve shindig.

The evening started pretty relaxed around 8 with friends mingling and trying the signature cocktails we created...and by 10, our living room was filled with people dancing and belting out Real McCoy's Another Night word for word. But the best part of the evening: the instax camera we used to document the commotion. We can't get over how well these little keepsakes turned out. Enjoy, and happy new year!

The jingle bell necklaces we created for favors were a hit. We gave one to each guest before leaving our place around 11:30, and it was interesting to see where they ended up throughout the night!

We carried our vibrant fuscia theme throughout with a bright floral centerpiece.

Friends, new and old!

Standing on tables to take overhead shots of the setup is the new dancing on tables.

If you come to a party with a new blonde moustache and a bottle of foul-tasting Norweigan liquor, trust it will be documented.

The best part about instant cameras is the spontaneity involved. You really don't know what to expect until you see the final product, which makes each shot even more genuine and perfect.

Only regret: not buying twice as much film! What a night. Thanks to our amazing friends for helping us close 2015 and begin 2016 with a bang. And thanks to all of you for following along in the planning.

We can't wait to show you the life of our next party!
