Outside alcohol is permitted as long as the renter has proof of event insurance. Alcohol is not allowed in the Church or during open museum hours.
Living History Farms provides the following with the cost of rental:
- ADA access
- Free parking
- Bridal changing areas in Visitor's Center & Church
- On-site coordinator
- Setup and teardown of chairs & tables
- Tables & chairs
The barn and visitor center are only available after 4:30pm from May through October due to museum operations. Flynn Barn is not available November through March because it is not heated, but the Visitor Center is available anytime during November to March. The Church is available anytime year-round.
Clients should book Living History Farms 6 – 18 months prior to their event.
Living History Farms has an open catering policy.
Ceremony sites are available in Flynn Barn, the Visitor Center, and in the Church of the Land with outdoor options at each site.
Costs & Fees
Living History Farms rents out spaces individually and in packages. Overtime fees apply if client exceeds agreed-upon hours.
Nothing can be nailed, tacked, or glued into any of the walls or woodwork. Decorations must be free standing. Living History Farms does provide minimal decor options (flower holders, pew clips, lanterns, candelabras) for renters.
Reduced pricing is available for events in November through April and for weekday events.
Duration of Rental
Living History Farms rents out spaces for four, six and 12 hour periods depending on specific packages.
Renters are not required to purchase event insurance unless they would like to bring in their own alcohol.
Miscellaneous Rules & Information
Grilling or any other open flame cooking is not allowed. No smoking is allowed anywhere on the grounds. No rice or silly string is allowed at ceremonies.
Living History Farms has several areas available for outdoor events and ceremonies.
Anything that the renter brings in, the renter must take out at the end of the rental. Trash must be thrown away in the trash cans and spills/messes must be cleaned up.
Renters are not required to hire event security.
Setup & Cleanup
Access begins when the rental time begins. Anything that the renter brings in, they must take out, trash must be thrown away, and spills or messes must be cleaned up by the renter before the rental time ends.
